Can’t fault their ambition
David Beckham’s Major League Soccer franchise, Inter Miami CF, have reportedly offered Lionel Messi a “handsome” salary in an attempt to lure the Barcelona star to the States when his current contract runs out in 2021.
It was reported earlier on Tuesday that the club are also interested in signing Luis Suarez from Barcelona as their first big name signing, and now the newly founded franchise are apparently keen to bring his best friend with him, who happens to be the greatest player of all time.
The reports have come out of Catalunya Radio, who claim Inter Miami will offer Messi a similar deal – presumably better – than what they’re offering Suarez.
Hold onto your butts-@CatalunyaRadio is also reporting that David Beckham has made it clear to Lionel Messi that he would be willing to offer him a very handsome salary (similar to what he’s offered Suarez) to make the switch to Miami once his contract expires at Barca in 2021. pic.twitter.com/VPyXxyNn5w

Messi recently congratulated Beckham on the launch of his new MLS franchise, saying “in a few years maybe you will give me a call.”
Despite Messi’s enduring loyalty to Barcelona, it seems plausible that Messi could indeed play out the final years of his career in Florida.
