Adnan Januzaj was supposed to be a future Manchester United superstar.
Alex Ferguson brought the Belgian youngster up to first team, and under David Moyes he made his first team debut in the Community Shield, aged just 17. He was even given Ryan Giggs old shirt number.
However, things didn’t pan out after Moyes left. Under Louie van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, he found himself struggling to get games, and eventually out on loan to Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland. And now Januzaj is on his way out of United permanently, with a transfer to Real Sociedad.
This evening, Januzaj tweeted a thank-you to Manchester United. It was pretty standard stuff – I had a great time, thank you to the fans and his teammates, you know the drill. But fans noticed one little line that is seriously passive aggressive – can you spot it?

Thank you to some of the coaches and staff that work at Manchester United to make it such a great club.
“Some”. Wow. It’s clear Januzaj hasn’t had the best last few years at United, but way to subtly take shots at someone. Who could it be…? Or maybe it’s just a typo. We’ll probably never know.
