Diego Costa knows no-one likes him, and frankly, he couldn’t care less.
The striker has already served a three-match ban this season for his skirmishes with Arsenal’s defence, but it doesn’t sound like he’s about to change his style any time soon.
Speaking in The Sun the Brazilian had a very simple message for any defenders who don’t like his high-jinks:
“Many times players have done stuff to me, like kick me. But I’m not a cry baby. I have 100% support from my manager, the club and the Chelsea supporters.
“So other people, other opinions, I don’t care, I’m not really bothered.”
Costa and his teammates are struggling this season, with Chelsea languishing in 12th place ahead of their weekend clash with West Ham, but he doesn’t see any reason for anyone to panic just yet.
“We know we can turn this around because it is the beginning of the season and we also know that we are the only ones who can turn this around.
“We are alone on this because Chelsea, it’s a club that the supporters give 100% support to but nobody else likes them. I am just beginning to understand this.”
You didn’t expect anything else from him did you?
