A move that suits everyone
Diogo Dalot is set to leave Manchester United and join AC Milan on a season long loan.
Footage from Gianluca Di Marzio shows the Portuguese arriving at Linate Prime airport in Milan ahead of his medical with the San Siro club.

Dalot is now in his third season as a Manchester United player, but has failed to establish himself as first choice right-back. In his first season, Antonio Valencia played the role and was also club captain, but following his departure, Dalot was not trusted to take on the responsibility of being the club’s starting right-back, as they signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for a hefty fee of around £50 million.
The writing was on the wall for Dalot at United when it emerged that Timothy Fosu-Mensah had leapfrogged him in the pecking order in defence. The Dutchman started ahead of Dalot in United’s 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in United’s first league game of the season.
19-year-old Ethan Laird is also in the frame to play some games at right-back this season, with many at the club believing he has a bright future.
A year with Milan should give the 21-year-old the opportunity to play himself back into form and potentially salvage his future with United, or at the very least, earn himself a permanent move to an ambitious team.
