Drastic times call for drastic measures
Manchester United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Old Trafford tonight, in what midfielder Fred labelled a must win game, just three weeks into the season.
Last weekend’s defeat to Brighton rang alarm bells at United, as they lost ground on Manchester City and Liverpool in the title race after a terrible performance.
Eric Bailly was particularly bad in defence, and looks set to be left out of the matchday squad for tonight’s game with Anthony Martial also omitted from the team.

The pair were not pictured with the rest of the squad when they arrived at The Lowry hotel ahead of the game tonight, suggesting that they will not play a part in the match against Spurs.
Apart from the injured Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot, Martial and Bailly were the only first team players not to exit the team bus.
United have been boosted by the returns of captain Antonio Valencia, Nemanja Matić, Ander Herrera and Alexis Sánchez, who were all seen arriving at the hotel with the rest of the team this morning.
Valencia, Herrera and Matić have not yet made a league appearance between them this season, while Sánchez missed the Brighton game with a knock he picked up during the season’s inaugural match between United and Leicester.
