If Jurgen Klopp is hoping to introduce a Dortmund style of play at Anfield, he may already have ideal man at the heart of his team.

The new Liverpool manager is famed for his fast, dynamic teams that rely heavily on pressing the opposition all over the pitch, and players who can maintain their stamina throughout the game.

So it will come as welcome news to the German that one of his players tops the list in terms of most distance covered in the league so far. EA SPORTS Player Performance Index shows that Liverpool’s James Milner leads the way in terms of non-stop action.

The PPI reveals that Milner has covered more ground than any player in the Premier League, in an all-British top 5:

Player Team Country Games Played Distance Covered
J Milner Liverpool England 8 99.906 km
A Surman B’mouth England 8 96.191 km
M Ritchie B’mouth Scotland 8 95.415 km
A Ramsey Arsenal Wales 8 93.565 km
G Barry Everton England 8 91.901 km
