What a way to bow out for Hazard
Eden Hazard as good as confirmed his exit from Chelsea after the club’s 4-2 Europa League final victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night in Baku’s Olympic Stadium.
The Belgian forward scored twice as Maurizio Sarri’s side demolished Arsenal after a goalless first half, and was allowed to bask in the adoration of the few travelling fans as he was brought off for Zappacosta in the second half.
Speaking after the game, Hazard was clear about his future.
“Now maybe it is time for a new challenge. Like I said last year after the World Cup but it didn’t happen. So now it’s between both clubs. So I will see. I am still waiting, like you are waiting, and the fans are waiting. So we will see in a couple of days.”
"I think it is a goodbye, but in football you never know." 😢

Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent summers and it was recently claimed that Chelsea would allow him to leave if the LaLiga giants were willing to meet their £130 million valuation.
With the Spanish side undergoing what is expected to be an enormous makeover after a poor domestic and European season, Hazard is expected to be their first signing of a busy summer.
