Chelsea could move for free agent Emmanuel Adebayor in an effort to boost their attacking options.
The Togolese international has been without a club since leaving Tottenham by mutual consent in September, though there is one complication.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the former Arsenal and Real Madrid striker is still being paid £100,000 per week by Spurs until he finds a new club, and this could factor into his choice of destination.
Watford are also reportedly keen on Adebayor, though Chelsea’s spending power could be the difference if Jose Mourinho considers him to represent value for money.
The Blues’ three strikers – Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy – have scored just seven goals between them in all competitions this season.
