Southgate reverts to a back three
England will line up in a 3-4-3 formation in the Euro 2020 final against Italy as Kieran Trippier returns to Gareth Southgate’s starting XI.
Trippier, who started at right wing-back in England’s 2-0 win over Germany, comes in at the expense of Bukayo Saka, who started games against Denmark and Czech Republic as a right winger.
England’s line up in full is as follows: Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire; Trippier, Phillips, Rice, Shaw; Mount, Sterling, Kane.

Southgate’s team selections have come under massive scrutiny throughout the tournament, but if there’s one thing England should have learned by now, it is that he does his homework. He’s earned our trust.
