Just 24 hours to go
By now everybody knows that the Lionesses, that is England’s women’s football team, are in the World Cup Final playing against Spain on Sunday.
After a massive 3-1 victory over this years favourites, Australia, England secured their status in the final, becoming the first England side to do so since 1966.
England went one nil up against Australia in the first half, but an absolute cannon of a rocket shot from Sam Kerr equalised the game in the 63rd minute.
For the next seven minutes it appeared Australia were on the front foot.
The hosts had tied the game and had the entire home crowd behind them, but it all came to an end when Lauren Hemp scored the second for England, followed by another classic goal for Alessia Russo in the 86th.

Now there’s just 24 hours to go before the final gets underway with the Lionesses’ up against Spain in Sydney.
If England can do it, if they can defy all the odds and do it, there will be some huge rewards for the players.
Not only will they cement their own legacies in the history books, they’ll also receive a pretty handsome payout.
As reported by TalkSPORT, the Lionesses will each be granted £213,000 by FIFA should they be victorious in Sunday’s final.
The players were already guaranteed to earn £24,000 even if they had been knocked out at the group stages.
But they powered through, and the prize money was raised to £47,000 when they qualified for the last-16.
And then when the Lionesses made the last eight, it went up to £70,000.
Being in the semi-final has seen them earn £128,000 but they’re set to bag a further £85,000 if they do bring it home and win the World Cup.
Wow.
