They all count
England romped to a 6-1 victory over Mexico in the U20 Women’s World Cup today, as Lauren Hemp picked up a hat-trick.
One of her goals was not like the others, though, as she took the ball round the goalkeeper, was fouled in the process, and scored by landing on the ball.
It can only be described as an accident, but as the saying goes, they call count. And as a striker, she will not mind one bit about how it went in, as long as it did.

England trailed 1-0 at half-time but came back firing on all cylinders after the break and put six past Mexico on matchday three to reach the quarter finals.
England will face either the Netherlands, France or New Zealand on Friday with a place in the semis at stake.
Today’s result means this England side have equalled the best performance in a World Cup from previous U20 Women’s teams, emulating the success of 2002 and 2008.
