England vs Switzerland team news
After a number of withdrawals from Southgate’s initial squad, Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell and Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters have been called up to the England senior side for the first time ahead of this game and the friendly against Ivory Coast.
West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone and Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins are also late additions following after Aaron Ramsdale, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James and Tammy Abraham all pulled out of the squad through injury.
Mitchell’s Palace teammate Marc Guehi was also handed his first senior England call-up in the initial squad announcement.
There is no place for Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, despite the latter’s good recent form for his club.
