Former Southampton loanee Eljero Elia has been arrested following an alleged involvement in a brawl with a fan.
According to Dutch outlet AD, the Feyenoord winger was arrested on Monday in Rotterdam following their recent KNVB Cup semi-final win over AZ Alkmaar.
Elia is reported to have spent the night in a cell after following his alleged involvement in an fight that left one football fan unconscious following a disagreement with two other men.
A Dutch international who played in the 2010 World Cup final, Elia spent six months on loan at Southampton F.C. last season.
He scored two goals in 17 appearances for the club, but returned to his home country with Feyenoord when his loan spell ended.
