Exiled Victor Valdes gets creative in his latest pop at Louis van Gaal…

Victor Valdes has had plenty of time to kill during his Manchester United exile as he continues to twiddle his thumbs in the reserves.

The former Barcelona goalkeeper is said to be on his way out of Old Trafford in January, but he couldn’t resist the chance to have a pop at Louis van Gaal ahead of United’s Champions League clash against PSV.

Posting this cryptic message on Instagram, Valdes said: ‘Not to disappoint those who want to see me play again, the only motivation that pushes me to continue working. I struggle to be free and again enjoy my profession.’

Interestingly, the post was liked by United teammates Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.

Perhaps Van Gaal’s strict methods aren’t approved by everyone at Old Trafford…
