Jose Mourinho’s comments about Premier League officials have come back to bite him after the FA handed the Chelsea manager a suspended one-match ban and £50,000 fine.
The punishment relates to Mourinho’s claim that referees are biased against the Blues following the 3-1 home defeat to Southampton on October 3.
The Portuguese said that “officials are afraid” to award decisions in Chelsea’s favour as he argued that Radamel Falcao should have been awarded a penalty.
