Felipe Anderson will soon be a Hammer
Manuel Pellegrini looks set to continue his vast improvement of West Ham’s squad this summer after it emerged that Felipe Anderson has passed a medical ahead of his proposed move from Serie A side Lazio.
The 25-year-old has reportedly agreed personal terms with West Ham ahead of the move, which will see him leave the Stadio Olimpico for a fee believed to be £35 million plus add-ons which could see it rise to £42m.
That flat fee alone represents a club record transfer fee for the Hammers, who have embarked on an extensive recruitment drive since sacking David Moyes and hiring Manuel Pellegrini as his replacement.
Anderson, a one-time capped Brazil international, joined Lazio from Brazilian side Santos in 2013. He has impressed during his time in Serie A and was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in recent years.
Instead he’ll be joining the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko, Jack Wilshere, Lukasz Fabianski, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks, Sebastian Nebyla and Fabian Balbuena at the London Stadium.
