FIFA 16 appear to have updated Marcus Rashford’s rating to match his stunning form

The ease at which Marcus Rashford made the step up to Manchester United’s first team caught plenty by surprise.

Two goals on his debut against FC Midtjylland were followed by a brace against Arsenal on his Premier League bow, and the 18-year-old is even being tipped by some to feature in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 plans.

It also appears that the youngster’s emergence from relative obscurity has caught the makers of FIFA 16 cold.

As pointed out by the Daily Star, Rashford had a rating of just 59 out of 100 on the game and was valued at £300,000.

Despite being lightning quick, EA Sports also rated the youngster at just 67 out of 100 in the game. And despite his impressive goals-to-shots ratio, his finishing was rated at 65.

The same report claims that FIFA players bombarded the game’s message boards with complaints that the virtual representation of Rashford didn’t appear to match the talents the youngster showcased in his first few performances for United.

With the season entering its final weeks, many FIFA players would have been expecting to wait until FIFA 17 to take control of a revamped Rashford.

Although at the time of writing Marcus Rashford doesn’t feature on FIFA Ultimate Team the tweet below indicates that he has  earned an update. His revised rating sees him climb from 59 to 65, with acceleration and sprint speed earning a significant boost.

At the time of writing, Rashford’s over all rating stands at 68.
