Floyd Mayweather might ruffle a few feathers here and there, but given his achievements, there aren’t many as well qualified to rank the greatest fighters of all-time.
But his opinion on where Muhammed Ali sits on that list has raised a few eyebrows.
Unsurprisingly for a bloke not lacking in the self-esteem department, Floyd places himself at the top of the pile. Ali, however, doesn’t even make the top four.

After himself, Robert Duran, Phernell Whitaker and Julio Cesar Chavez all rank higher than Ali. There’s no room for Mike Tyson, nor Joe Frazier. The great Sugar Ray Robinson is absent too.
With one of the more low key fights of his career against Andre Berto approaching, the cynical amongst us may suggest it’s all a cheap bit of publicity.
