Zlatan Ibrahimovic *will* be a Manchester United player… or at least, that’s what he tells us.
At the time of writing, there’s still no official word from Mr Ibrahimovic’s future employers, almost certainly making him the first player in the history of Manchester United to announce his own transfer before the club.
It’s not quite reached Peter Odemwingie to QPR levels yet – he’s only announced it on his Instagram, not driven himself to a training ground for a medical – but football fans the world over are impressed that Zlatan has taken matters into his own hands.
Usually no players announce their moves before United announce it… Every player except Zlatan of course. Does what he wants! #DareToZlatan

Clubs don't announce Zlatan.

Man Utd: "Zlatan, can we announce you on Instagram?"
Zlatan: "Sorry boys, I've got more followers than you, so I'll announce you."

It is quite fitting that it is not the club that announces where Zlatan is playing, it is Zlatan announcing the club pic.twitter.com/wpnzT8KO7b

Zlatan announces the club. Not United, announcing the player.
Elite mentality. 👏

Not exactly a surprise that Zlatan announces #MUFC rather than the other way around, either

If any player was going to announce his next club before the club does, it was always going to be Zlatan, wasn’t it?
Meanwhile, United’s official Twitter page continues to retweet fan tweets about Antonio Valencia…

Does the club even know they’re signing Zlatan? Has this all been orchestrated by the man himself? Only time will tell.
