He’s scored in 10 consecutive Champions League games
22 goals in 12 games, Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t fancy missing. (Edit: make that 23, with this worldie.)
As Real Madrid took on Juventus in their UCL quarter-final he scored in the third minute – made all the more remarkable by the nature of his opposition. Juve set up shop and defend well, they’ve lost one of their last 75 home games (where the first leg of the draw was played on Tuesday night.)

Cristiano Ronaldo now has 119 goals in the Champions League, and 22 in quarter-finals alone.
Juventus, as a club, have scored 21 in quarter-finals.
By scoring in his 10th consecutive match of the tournament, he has broken yet another record.
At half-time Rio Ferdinand said: “He’s actually taking liberties, he’s playing against one of the most experienced back fours, and he’s still finding space. It’s striker’s movement.”
“The difference is, he goes into these big games expecting to score – not hoping to score.”
