No more need for dreaming
The ceremony consists of the Queen’s Guard handing over responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace and St. James’s Palace to the New Guard. It features precision military drills, pomp, and of course, stirring music.
You might have noticed that the song ‘Three Lions’ by The Lightning Seeds, Frank Skinner and David Baddiel has been played a lot recently. Like, all the god damn time.
So on Friday, the British Army Band got on board with the trend.

The video was shared by the official Facebook page for the British Army in London.
The page explained:
“The Bands of the Guards Division played a very special rendition of Three Lions on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace today (Friday) ahead of England’s World Cup quarter-final showdown with Sweden.
“The troops are used to stepping forward to serve their country. This makes today’s gesture of unwavering support to the England team during the world-famous Changing the Guard ceremony particularly fitting.”
Even David Baddiel was impressed.
