Say it how it really is Christian
Christian Eriksen has admitted that it is “weird” becoming a Manchester United player in his first interview since signing for the club.
Eriksen joined on a free transfer after his contract at Brentford expired, signing a three-year deal to become the third arrival of the summer alongside Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez.
During his first interview with the Red Devils, the Denmark international admitted that he never thought he would play at Old Trafford as well as revealing that he hadn’t planned to return to England after he left Tottenham Hotspur in 2020.

“It’s weird, I never thought it would actually happen, so to be here, like you say being a Man Utd player, it’s very special,” Eriksen said.
“I think from my career path before the incident in the Euros, the plan wasn’t to go back to the UK at all.
“I was thinking my time to go to Manchester United was before! Obviously, then I was at Spurs, and then went to Italy, but now to sit here is definitely something that I didn’t expect, but I’m also very happy that I’m here. It feels good, it feels good to be here.”

Eriksen could make debut on opening day of the season
Eriksen has yet to play for United in their pre-season schedule but is expected to play a major role this season as Ten Hag and co try to secure Champions League football at least.
The midfielder was a prominent figure in the Brentford side last season, featuring 11 times, scoring once and assisting four times as the Bees secured survival in their first-ever top-flight campaign.
United begin their Premier League campaign against Brighton and Hove Albion on August 7.
