While he now spends his days drawing up tactical plans and training drills, a clip from a recent Depor game suggested that he could still do a job on the pitch despite hanging up his boots four years ago.
The moment in question took place during Depor’s game away to Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, a match which Seedorf’s side won 3-2.
Standing on the sideline as the ball was cleared by Swiss defender Fabian Schaar, the 42-year-old calmly watched the ball as it fell from the sky, arms crossed the entire time, before deftly sticking out a toe and killing it dead with one small touch.
As can be seen in the clip, his players and the crowd were clearly impressed, with mouths agape at the sight of one of the coolest sights you’ll see for a while.
