This is a truly heart-warming moment
It’s fair to say it has been a great season for Manchester City.
As well as winning the league, they became the first team to get 100 points in a single Premeir League season – as well as smashing a host of other records, including largest title-winning margin, and largest positive goal difference.
But for David Silva, something much more important than football was happening. Silva’s baby son Mateo was born prematurely in December, and Silva missed first team action this season, as he stayed in Spain as Mateo fought for his life.
On Tuesday night however, Silva tweeted to say that Mateo had finally left hospital and was going home for the first time.

In April, following City’s title win, Silva tweeted a photo of him and Mateo saying that this Premier League win was the most special due to the difficult time he’d been going through.
My 3rd league but this one is the most special. Thanks to everyone for supporting me in this tough year!🏆🏆🏆 pic.twitter.com/kKslE189uu
