They capitulated like soft cheese left out in the sun
Eden Hazard just walked through West Ham.
I mean that in a close to literal sense. He was travelling a bit faster than walking. But it was honestly like Eden was nipping down the offie for a pint of blue top and The Sunday Times in his sliders and dressing gown.
West Ham look scared to go within five metres of him. Commentary actually calls them “terrified.” Watch below and you will see why. A muted response from West Ham’s official Twitter.

Eden receives the ball at the top of West Ham’s half. He is deliberately casual. Hopping, jogging toward West Ham’s goal. He runs in almost a straight line. Through Balbuena and Ogbonna. Through them like a ghost.
Within seconds Hazard has dribbled through the heart of West Ham’s team. Confronted with Fabianski he drives the ball to the goalkeeper’s left.
What can Poland’s number one do?
His entire team have been unable to stop the Belgian druid from enchanting Stamford Bridge, players and spectators alike, to a standstill right up until he scores and instigates delirium.
I’m already looking forward to Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville’s assessment of the defending.
