Fans invaded the pitch during Egypt’s World Cup qualifier
Egypt’s World Cup qualifying game against Angola was interrupted three times as fans invaded the pitch in order to get a photo with Mohamed Salah.
Salah played a pivotal role in helping his country come from two goals down against Angola, as he provided an assist to help the Pharaohs earn a 2-2 draw.
The 29-year-old helped out Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny to score Egypt’s first from close range in stoppage time of the first 45.
However, the game in Luanda was interrupted on three separate occasions as fans invaded the pitch to get to the Liverpool superstar.
Salah is treated like a God amongst mortals in Africa with people fascinated by his rise to the top which has seen many label the winger as one of the best players in the world.

Fans were so excited that the 29-year-old was playing that one supporter even ran on the pitch to prevent Egypt from going on a potentially match-winning attack.
Thankfully, none of the fans who ran onto the pitch had bad intentions, with one fan wanting nothing more than a hug – which Salah was happy to give – before he was escorted off the pitch.
The draw for Egypt was vital in their quest to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar next year, finishing top of their group which contained Gabon, Libya and Angola.
Egypt will now have to work their way through a play-off campaign to definitely seal their place at the tournament next year.
