Everton to offer Jack Wilshere massive incentive to leave Arsenal

The Toffees are going all in

As Arsenal and Jack Wilshere continue to argue over a new contract, Everton are set to offer the midfielder a very tantalising signing-on fee.

Arsenal do not plan to increase their current offer for Wilshere, who will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.

In unexpected fashion, the Gunners have reportedly offered Wilshere less money than he’s currently on.

The 26-year-old is said to be on a basic weekly wage of £110,000 now, with the new deal expected to see Wilshere take home a guaranteed £90,000-a-week, with add-ons based on appearances and consistency.

This week, Wilshere insisted that he was no closer to agreeing a renewal and that’s only served to intensify Everton’s interest in the England international.

With Sam Allardyce eager to be kept on beyond this term, he wants to build his own squad and has identified both Wilshere and Manchester United defender Phil Jones as top transfer targets.

The Toffees’ season will go down as a disappointing one considering the money the club spent last summer but they’re seemingly willing to loosen the purse-strings yet again when the transfer window opens.

The Times reports that Everton will be willing to offer Wilshere a whopping £8 million signing-on bonus if he agrees to move to Goodison Park this summer.

Several clubs will likely be fighting it out for the signature of the midfielder, despite his track record of injuries, and with Everton’s aggressive play, it’s hard not to consider them favourites.
