You had one job Barcelona
Fans noticed a strange issue with Ferran Torres’ Barcelona shirt during their Europa League clash against Napoli on Thursday night.
Barcelona were playing in their first-ever Europa League knockout tie after they were knocked out of the Champions League at the group stage for the first time since 2000.
Xavi’s side did find themselves 1-0 down after Piotr Zieliński fired Napoli in front before Torres equalised from the penalty spot to score his first goal for the club at the Camp Nou.
But as the former Manchester City forward wheeled away in celebration, many spotted an issue with his Barça shirt… that it didn’t contain neither the Nike logo (the brand that manufactures the kit) or Barcelona’s official badge on the shirt.

It remains unclear as to why the Spaniard was the only one in the side to have a kit like this but it didn’t go unnoticed as fans pointed out the error on social media.
Unsurprisingly, it was also used as another opportunity for those who do not support Barcelona to take aim at the club’s financial issues off the pitch.
One user tweeted: “Barca can’t even afford to get Ferran Torres a legitimate shirt,” which was followed by three laughing emojis.

Another user tweeted: “Nah man Messi has made Barca so broke they couldn’t afford team’s official badge on Ferran Torres shirt this is so sad to see.”

Meanwhile one user tweeted: “Ferran Torres’ shirt looks like it was bought at the bottom of La Rambla and then put through a 40 degree wash.”

Despite the kit dilemma, Torres was unable to find another goal and grab a winner for Barcelona as they were eventually held to a stalemate by the Serie A title challengers.
