There’s still plenty of football to be played this season to occupy our tiny minds.
This said, with the first international break of a World Cup year on the horizon, there’s now a steady flow of international football kit releases to distract us from the business end of the season.
While England’s new home and away kit designs were confirmed on Wednesday, many on social media appeared more concerned with the unveiling of Nigeria’s new away shirt.
And to be fair, we don’t blame them. It is, as the first of the tweets below puts it, worthy of winning the World Cup for its sheer loveliness alone…
Nigeria deserve to win the World Cup for this shirt alone. pic.twitter.com/8djPzs1pIy

I think we all need to just accept that Nigeria will have the best shirt at the world cup. pic.twitter.com/3ITaE68I9A

A little bit in love with Nigeria' World Cup kit.
Taken all the best bits of the best early 90s kits – which was, of course, the best era for kits pic.twitter.com/JXwWEnhG0e

I know I should be more excited that England have revealed their new shirt for the World Cup…but can we all just take a second to appreciate Nigeria's efforts here 🙌. Bravo Nike #SuperEagles #PickingThisUp pic.twitter.com/BtlkYLysQT

Made by Nike, the design is a throwback to the iconic shirts worn Nigeria in their first ever World Cup campaign in the United States in 1994.
Assuming Fifa don’t see the shirt and decide to just give them the trophy immediately, the Super Eagles will face Croatia, Iceland and Argentina in Group D in Russia later this year.
The following video, published on Nike Football’s YouTube channel earlier this week, also reveals Nigeria’s new home shirt.
