Fred dismissed the rumours on his social media account
Manchester United midfielder Fred has called the media out for creating “fake news” surrounding his and his teammates’ future at the club.
Several reports have linked the Brazilian with a move away from Old Trafford, but the midfielder came out to quash those rumours and confirm he is more than happy with life at United, as are fellow members of the squad.
He tweeted: “Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes.
“I’m not in the habit of answering controversial stuff publicly, but this time I will have to.”

Fred then continued: “I just want to say that I am very happy here and I have never expressed any dissatisfaction and the possibility of leaving the club.
“Don’t get misled by fake news. We will continue to work with great dedication to pursue our goals.”

United have dominated the headlines in recent days since their defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night, with reports suggesting that as many as 17 players want to leave the club.
Many of those have been less than impressed with interim boss Ralf Rangnick taking charge – despite the German losing just one of his six games in charge, while fans have also began to divert their criticism towards the players after several abject performances on the pitch this season.
Some of the squad reportedly had to use Google to search who the former Schalke and Lokomotiv Moscow boss was before he was offered the position at Old Trafford.
United begin their FA cup campaign on Monday night when they host Steven Gerrard’s rejuvenated Aston Villa side.
