Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to help Manchester United beat Spurs
Gary Neville has admitted that Manchester were “not very good” despite their 3-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
Cristiano Ronaldo was the hero on the night at Old Trafford as he scored a hat-trick to secure the win against their fellow rivals for a place in the top four.
The 37-year-old’s first was the best of the bunch, a well-hit effort from the edge of the box before putting United back in front from close range after Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot.

Harry Maguire’s own goal in the second half levelled the game once again but Ronaldo turned up when it mattered most to head home free from a corner.

The win was an important one in Ralf Rangnick’s side’s quest to finish in the Champions League places but despite the victory, former United player Neville felt that the Reds were still disappointing.
“They’re not very good,” Neville said on Sky Sports.
“I have to say that, the second half especially. There were moments in the game were magical and the fans leave today, I’ve just walked through the lounge to get here from the gantry, and the fans are absolutely buzzing.
“Its because they’ve seen Cristiano Ronaldo and they feel like they’ve seen something special.

“But in terms of a performance, if Spurs go and score a winner late on, United fans would be going home saying ‘how bad were we today?’
“But, big moments, and a big player turned up and that ultimately sent them home happy, but it wasn’t a great performance.”
