Fair play Carragher, caught us all out there
Contrary to earlier reports, Erling Haaland sadly won’t be making his debut on Monday Night Football after Gary Neville confirmed.
Earlier in the day Jamie Carragher fuelled everybody’s excitement by taking to Twitter to say the talented Norwegian striker would be featuring on tonight’s (6 December) show ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Everton at Goodison Park.
The former Liverpool defender claimed that he was ‘delighted’ that one of football’s most sought-after youngsters would be appearing on the programme.

It sparked plenty of excitement, with many wondering if Haaland himself would be in the studio, however it appears that Carragher has successfully managed to catch everyone out after fellow pundit and colleague Neville confirmed that the 21-year-old wouldn’t be on the show on Sky Sports News.
Technically, the Borussia Dortmund striker will still feature on the programme, but instead, the iconic duo of Neville and Carragher will be analysing his spectacular effort against Bayern Munich from last weekend – which Dortmund eventually lost in a five-goal thriller.
Haaland himself has a strong connection to English football having been born in Yorkshire due to his father Alf-Inge Haaland plying for Leeds United at the time.
The explosive forward has also been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League ever since he first burst on the scene at Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
Despite having offers to move to England, he instead chose the Bundesliga side where he has 72 goals and 26 assists in 74 appearances for his current side.
However with a £66 million release clause that can be activated next summer, it is unlikely he will remain at the Signal Iduna Park, with a move to the Premier League a genuine possibility.
The two Manchester clubs as well as Chelsea have all previously been touted as viable destinations for the Norwegian.
