“Yes of course. Ole has played for this club for many years and he has been the manager for three years.”
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has said that under-fire boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the right man to lead the club despite the poor run of form.
Results have not been up to standard of late, the most recent being a 5-0 hammering to rivals Liverpool, which has led to many reports surrounding Solskjaer’s future at Old Trafford.
Despite the downturn in form, it is understood the Norwegian has three games to save his job and club captain Maguire believes that he is the man for the long-term too, as per Norway’s TV2.
He said: “Yes of course. Ole has played for this club for many years and he has been the manager for three years.
“He knows what to expect and I’m sure he can handle the ups and downs. He knows what’s going on in this club.”

Solskjaer isn’t the only one to have come in for criticism of late, with Maguire also centre of discussion. During a team meeting earlier in the week when the side held ‘clear the air talks’ there were rumours of doubts as to why the England defender was given the armband.
But Maguire has insisted there is no problem in the dressing room and that injuries have hindered his game this season.
“I know from my experience in this club that when you lose matches, there are always rumours about what happens in the dressing room,” he said.

“But most of it is not true. We have a strong and unified dressing room.
“I’ve struggled to find the rhythm. I’m my biggest critic, so I know when I’m playing well, and when I’m not playing well, I’m always looking for ways to improve myself.
“I had been injury free for a long time, then I got a big injury in the ankle. I came back and played a tough Euros, and I have had some blows this season which has led to me struggling to find the rhythm.”
United will look and try to close the eight-point gap on league leaders Chelsea to five when they travel to the capital to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night in a must-win game for the Red Devils.
