Well, that was fun to watch.
The first half of Manchester City vs Liverpool in the seconds leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie was exhausting and exciting in equal measure. An early goal, frenetic pace and plenty of tackles; it was what we hope for ahead of matches like these.
One moment in particular stood out however, as City goalkeeper Ederson and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane became reacquainted in a (extremely one-sided) scuffle that suggested that the Brazilian has yet to forgive the Senegalese international for his boots-to-the-face tackle in this fixture early in the Premier League season.

Reacting to a tackle by the Liverpool number 19 on teammate Nicolas Otamendi, Ederson sprinted from his goal to square up to Mane, before pushing him not once, not twice, not thrice but four times.
Pointing to his eye in an action which said either “look at me” or “this where you kicked me you b*stard”, the former Benfica keeper had to be calmed down by midfielder Fernandinho before it went any further.
Little came of it bar a yellow card for Mane, but it appears that forgiveness is a while away yet.
