James Rodriguez loses his head and gets two quickfire yellows for Al Rayyan

Wondering what James has been up to since leaving the Toffees? Giving it the biggun over in Qatar, apparently

James Rodriguez was sent off for Al Rayyan after he was shown two yellow cards in quick succession for dissent during a league game in Qatar.

The former Everton and Real Madrid midfielder was given his marching orders after showing his frustrations to the referee when he was fouled on the edge of the box during his side’s defeat to Al-Arabi on Saturday night.

Despite being awarded a free-kick, it wasn’t enough for the Colombian as he began to make his feelings clear towards the official and was booked for his actions and was held back by his teammates to prevent it from escalating further.

Normally in any other situation, you would just choose to accept the free-kick and move on. But even after a warning and a booking, that still wasn’t enough for Rodriguez.

Instead the 30-year-old felt it would better to continue his protests and even though his colleagues tried to stop him from getting into further trouble, the damage had been done as the referee had made his mind up already.

A second yellow was shown and Rodriguez was off for two separate cautions of dissent in a matter of minutes. He wasn’t done there yet as he continued to let out his anger whilst walking down the tunnel after applauding the official in a sarcastic manner.

The MailOnline reports that he then stormed down the tunnel before taking his shirt off as he stormed towards the changing room.

In amongst the madness, the free-kick was eventually taken, but came to nothing as Al Rayyan couldn’t find an equaliser and now face a spell without their talisman following his outburst.
