Jurgen Klopp is set to make a big decision on Loris Karius’ future.
Besiktas have been keeping a keen eye on the goalkeeper situation at Liverpool and while the Turkish club were initially linked with a move for Simon Mignolet, it now looks like Karius has become their top target.
Daily Turkish sports paper Fanatik has reported that Besiktas are keen to sign Karius on a season-long loan after their first-choice ‘keeper last season, Fabri, moved to Fulham last month.
Karius will be aware that it will be a struggle to dislodge Alisson from his status as Liverpool’s undisputed No. 1 after the Reds splashed out £67 million on the Brazilian stopper this summer.
Several errors from Karius in recent months somewhat forced Klopp’s hand and Alisson certainly looks to be a significant upgrade on the previous goalkeepers at the Liverpool manager’s disposal.
Hard to know exactly what Karius was expecting https://t.co/JWsi3RbW6f

But Liverpool fans are a supportive bunch and gave Karius a rousing reception when he came off the bench in the Reds’ final preseason friendly last week.
Supporters want what’s best for the 25-year-old and it’s quite clear that what Karius needs is a season in which he can rebuild his confidence.
Besiktas would represent the perfect opportunity for the German ‘keeper to get his career back on track under less pressure than exists at Anfield and Klopp is understood to be open to that plan.
I wouldn’t mind Karius at Besiktas to be fair, I rather think that his problem is mental and not related to talent. A loan move could help him.
With that being said, we all know how fans in Turkey get on your back if you mess up and that’s my concern.

I would be behind a loan move anything else would be stupid as Karius still has a lot to give the club in the future

We bought Karius for £4m+ so hardly big money and we aren’t likely to get any of this back in sales, let him go out on loan, it might build his confidence up a bit. Also, don’t actually mind Mignolet as a back up.

only on for 20 minutes & Karius still looks out of it! he needs to go out on loan to get his head straight!
