It looked like a scene from a Christmas movie
Turin was covered in a blanket of white snow today as temperatures dipped below freezing. The blizzard was so intense that it led to Juventus’ game against Atalanta being called off due to the heavy snow on the pitch.
It’s a big shame for the fans who made their way in baltic conditions to the stadium, especially the visiting fans, and everyone who was excited to see Mario Mandžukić run around wearing short sleeves in sub-zero conditions.

It didn’t look good at this point but they were determined to get the game going.

The announcement the game would be postponed was greeted by boos from all around the stadium. You can understand the fans’ disappointment, but you can also see why it had to be called off.
That Juventus won’t have played this weekend gives Napoli a chance the extend their lead to four points at the top of the table when they travel to Cagliari tomorrow.
Juve will of course have a game in hand to be played at a later date, which is yet to be confirmed, but the four point cushion will put more pressure on Juventus to keep winning.
