Things are looking up for Arsenal.
Sure, they’re out of the FA Cup and have no realistic chance of winning the Premier League this year, but, fresh from seeing off Chelsea to claim a place in the Carabao Cup final, it seems they’re set to add Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to their squad. The Gabonese striker – one of the most prolific goal scorers in the world in recent years – has reportedly agreed a deal to join the club from Borussia Dortmund, with an announcement thought to be imminent.
Aubameyang will reunite with Henrikh Mkhitaryan at The Emirates after the pair formed a lethal partnership in the Bundesliga two years ago. Mkhitaryan joined in a swap deal which saw Alexis Sanchez move in the opposite direction to Manchester United.
These dealings have prompted many Arsenal fans to suggest that – despite losing the talents of Sanchez – they may even have a stronger squad now than they did at the beginning of the month.

With Arsenal’s supporters looking ahead to an exciting end to their season, this doesn’t appear to be the case with Liverpool’s fans.
Like Arsenal, they’ve lost arguably their best player this window, with Philippe Coutinho being allowed to move to Barcelona. Although they’ve brought in Virgil Van Dijk to strengthen their defence, many Liverpool fans have pointed out that they haven’t replaced the Brazilian.
Although Van Dijk became the world’s most expensive defender when he arrived at Anfield, his fee was around half that of what Liverpool received for Coutinho (£145m). With all this in mind, many of the club’s supporters have asked why they haven’t – on the surface at least – been as proactive to strengthen their squad during this window.

Arsenal sold Sanchez and got Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang. What do we have with the Coutinho money? Can't even think that Salah Firmino and Mane will be supplied well by Wijnaldum Can and Oxlade-Chamberlain till the end of the season.

Sanchez leaves Arsenal but they bring in both Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang whereas we’ve just sold Coutinho and not bought anyone, I’m not saying we are in desperate need but if a club who is struggling more than us and don’t have CL football are able to that, why can’t we?
