The man pleaded guilty to three separate charges
A 22-year-old man has pleaded guilty to three charges, one of which includes racially abusing former Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie.
Sky Sports reported that Kirk Thompson, of Ravens Craig, Kirkcaldy appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court for three separate charges which were: being in possession of indecent images of children, taking or making indecent images of children and racially abusing Bolasie.
During a search at his house in March of this year, police found four indecent images and movies on Thompson’s phone with one rated a Category A image (the most damaging), two Category B and one deemed Category C.

Police also found private messages sent to Bolasie which were racially offensive and in a post on his social media, the midfielder exposed the message with a post saying: “Something seriously wrong with people… keyboard warriors.
“Still yet to meet a person who had this energy when they saw me.”
Thompson has since been released on bail under the Sexual Offences Act for charges one and two, with sentencing deferred to 6th January for court reports after Sheriff Brown, who was present at the Court, said that he wanted to understand why Bolasie chose to expose the message.
As per the Evening Standard, he said: “Yannick Bolasie circulated it (the message) much more widely, and the question is why did he do that?
“I would like to know Mr Bolasie’s reasoning before sentencing.”
Brown also indicated he wanted lawyers to know the length of the movies found at Thompson’s home address before determining the length of his sentence.
