So there you have it, folks: Paul Pogba is OUT of Manchester United’s FA Cup fifth round tie at Huddersfield on Saturday.
The French midfielder, who has absolutely, definitely, 100% *not* fallen out with Jose Mourinho, is said to miss the game through illness… or, as many people hearing the news are suggesting, ‘illness’.
Anyhow, enough about Pogba. Let’s talk about the man who’s set to replace him, Ethan Hamilton.
19-year-old Ethan Hamilton has stepped up to the United first team for the trip over the M62. Usually part of the Under 23s squad, the Scot joined United three years ago from Edinburgh-based youth team, Hutchison Vale – the same club Darren Fletcher used to represent.
Although he’s played most of his football in the middle, United’s official website also points out that Hamilton can operate as a wingback.
Naturally, many United fans aren’t too familiar with the player just yet, as was evident from the reaction to his inclusion in the first team squad on Saturday afternoon.
