They have been fined €8,375
Manchester United have been fined by UEFA after being found guilty of two charges around the Champions League game against Villarreal at Old Trafford, as per Manchester Evening News.
The Red Devils beat the Spanish outfit 2-1 last month with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a 95th-minute winner to complete a stunning comeback.
The Portuguese captain celebrated in front of the United fans in the Stretford End, but a pitch invader joined in the celebrations – an offence which the club has been charged for.
Additionally, UEFA has charged United for the throwing of objects at Old Trafford.
The two-time Champions League winners have been fined €5,000 for the pitch invasion and €3,375 for the throwing of objects, with both fines needing to be paid within 90 days.

UEFA have released a statement confirming the decision.
“To fine Manchester United €3,375 for throwing of objects. To fine Manchester United €5,000 for the invasion of the field of play. The above fines in the total amount of €8,375 must be paid within 90 days of communication of this decision,” read the statement.
United could be facing another UEFA charge following Wednesday’s comeback victory against Atalanta in the Champions League.
The Red Devils came from two goals down to win 3-2 against the Italian side, with Ronaldo scoring another late winner.
Following the full-time whistle, a pitch invader again managed to get on the Old Trafford playing surface as they made an attempt to get Ronaldo’s shirt.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s men return to Premier League action at the weekend as they host Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, looking to bounce back from the disappointing 4-2 loss they suffered against Leicester last weekend.
