Manchester United ready to pay world record fee for Neymar

Man United are ready to splash the cash

Reuben Pinder

He could be coming to the Premier League

Neymar broke the world record transfer fee last summer as he moved from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain for €220m. But his time in Paris could be coming to an end after just one season, as it was reported yesterday that he informed his teammates that he would not return to PSG after the World Cup.

The Brazilian has never seemed fully invested in playing for PSG, appearing to pick and choose when he trains and plays. From the outside, it looks like an ego massaging exercise, and that he only moved there to help boost his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or. It has been widely reported that he will one day end up at Real Madrid, next summer if not this one, but the Sunday Mirror are now reporting that Manchester United will rival Madrid for the forward’s signature.

United are reportedly happy to break the world record transfer fee again to bring Neymar to United and also match his £30m per year wages.

Neymar has not played since he picked up an ankle injury in February, but is back in training and faces a race against time to get fit for the World Cup.
