International breaks usually translate to somewhat quiet periods for clubs.
Well that wasn’t the case for Manchester United on Thursday as it was all go for the Red Devils regarding Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Reports began circulating at lunchtime that Ibrahimovic had played his last game for Jose Mourinho’s side, with ESPN claiming that the Swedish centre-forward could leave Old Trafford as early as this week.

Ibrahimovic hasn’t featured for United since Boxing Day and has not managed to return to full fitness since seriously injuring his knee last year.
The 36-year-old signed a contract extension with United after his initial deal expired following a fruitful debut season in the Premier League but he’s managed just one goal this term.
Ibrahimovic has teased a sensational return to the Swedish international set-up ahead of this summer’s World Cup and if he is to be in the running to board the flight to Russia, playing time is imperative.
LA Galaxy are reportedly more than happy to offer that to Ibrahimovic and, according to LA Times’ reporter Kevin Baxter, the veteran forward has already put pen to paper on the deal.

With Ibrahimovic’s time in Manchester effectively over, United’s official Twitter account seemingly rushed to get out a piece of content they had recorded with the enigmatic striker.
Just 12 minutes after the claim that Ibrahimovic had signed a deal with the MLS side, United posted the below tweet.

Speaking from the Old Trafford dressing room, Ibrahimovic was quizzed on his knowledge of the social media activity of his teammates (former teammates).
Supporters wasted no time in pointing out the unusual timing from the social media team.
