Rashford took to social media to respond to the recent criticism of Manchester United’s performances
Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to respond to criticism surrounding the performances of Manchester United in recent weeks.
United’s 1-0 defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers last week sparked an inquest into the team who have failed to hit the ground running since the appointment of Ralf Rangnick.
Rashford himself has also struggled this season and has yet to rediscover his scintillating form from last year which saw him register 21 goals and 15 assists, and the 24-year-old took to his Twitter to respond to the backlash he and his teammates have received.
Speaking on his Twitter, he said: “I read something earlier that said I’d been quiet on here, but what can I say that will make this better other than showing you all on the pitch?
“We’ve all been disappointed with recent performances and we’ve been as disappointed with the news coverage questioning our commitment to not only the manager and the coaching staff, but the club.
“I have endless respect for both and I’m looking forward to bettering my game under the staff at Manchester United.

“I’m not sulking, I’m not unhappy, am I disappointed in recent performances? Of course I am. I’m my own biggest critic.
“It’s been a tough start, but I’m determined to prove my worth. My dedication and desire to be here should never be in question. I love this club.”
Rashford is the latest player to respond to backlash from the media after Fred recently fired back at claims that he wanted a move away from the club and accused them of creating “fake news.”
