He extends his stay for two more years
Marouane Fellaini has signed a new two-year contract with Manchester United after much speculation over whether he would remain at Old Trafford or not.
The 30-year-old’s last contract expired this month and he was expected to move away from the Premier League, with various clubs including Besiktas expressing interest.
Fellaini signed for United from Everton back in 2013 when David Moyes took over from Sir Alex Ferguson. He has been used in a variety of positions and been popular among three different managers – Moyes, Louis van Gaal and José Mourinho.
The midfielder started for Belgium against England last night in the final match of the group phase at the World Cup.
