Spurs fans can breath a sigh of relief
When Zinedine Zidane resigned from his post as Real Madrid manager on Thursday, there was one name on everybody’s lips: Mauricio Pochettino. The Tottenham manager has turned the north London club into a genuine force in the Premier League, despite not winning a trophy yet. His tactical nous, coaching ability, trust in youth and excellent man management skills have helped him transform Tottenham and it hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Pochettino was top of the list of names linked with the vacant Real Madrid job immediately after Zidane’s resignation but it now appears that he’s out of the running. The Argentine coach signed a new five year contract with Spurs less than two weeks ago, but there was still a possibility that Madrid would buy it out to bring him to the Bernabéu.
📝 We are delighted to announce that Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new five-year contract with the Club, which runs until 2023.
First Team Coaching staff Jesús Pérez, Miguel D’Agostino & Toni Jimenez have also agreed new contracts. 🙌

Real Madrid now seem to have turned their focus towards acquiring Maurizio Sarri, who is in the middle of an ugly departure from Napoli, who hired Carlo Ancelotti before properly confirming Sarri’s exit.
Sarri’s Napoli became the first team ever in Serie A history to not win the league with a points total of more than 90 points.
