Icardi could still be in trouble with PSG despite receiving their full support
Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi could face a fine from PSG after missing the Champions League game against RB Leipzig due to personal reasons, according to Marca.
The only issue is that the Argentine’s ‘personal reasons’ haven’t been that personal at all, with accusations of the forward, cheating on his wife Wanda Nara dominating the headlines in recent days.
It all started after Icardi’s wife Nara posted a story on Instagram with the caption: “Another family you have ruined for a s***” before a series of posts back and forth between the two indicated that the pair had split.
The PSG man was given permission to miss the game against Leipzig on Tuesday night after spending time away to resolve the situation, with the 28-year-old posting an emotional tribute to Nara on Instagram which seemed like a happy ending to the issue.
However, despite granting the forward permission to miss the game at the Parc de Princes, as well as two training sessions in the build-up, its believed that officials are still not happy with the situation.
Despite this, they still remain fully supportive of Icardi and are willing to help him in any way they can, but it isn’t known if he will return in time for PSG’s derby game against Marseille on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, there are also claims that it may not be as happy as it looks, with Nara yet to make an official statement on the situation, whilst in Icardi’s native Argentina, there is belief that the problem has still not fully been resolved.
