Miralem Pjanić rubs salt in the wounds after Koeman sacking

The feud continues…

Miralem Pjanić has reacted to the news of Ronald Koeman’s sacking by Barcelona – and unsurprisingly it doesn’t sound like he’s too disappointed by the news.

After a shock 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday (October 26), a result that left Barca 9th in La Liga and six points off the Champions League, Koeman was finally relieved of his duties as the club’s manager.

Whilst few associated with Barca will have been too devastated by the news, Pjanić in particular seemed to take some satisfaction from the announcement.

The Bosnian midfielder, who left Barca for Besiktas in the summer, had previously claimed he was disrespected by the Dutch manager during his time at the club, saying he had “no communication” with Koeman and that the manager had “a cross against me from the beginning.”

So after Koeman’s sacking was announced, Pjanić posted a pretty straightforward post to his Instagram story which simply read: “Know when to let that sh*t go.”

Since leaving Barca, the midfielder has found some form, registering four assists in seven games for the Turkish giants in the Süper Lig and Champions League.

Barcelona legend Xavi is the favourite to takeover at Barcelona but in the immediate future it is Barca B coach Sergi Barjuán who has been placed in charge of the first team.

Barjuán will take charge of the side for Saturday’s league clash with Alaves.
