It feels like a FIFA career mode at this point
If you haven’t heard, Newcastle United are very, very rich.
So rich that they are in fact the wealthiest club in the world, following the takeover by the Saudi-led Public Investment Fund.
Since the PIF have taken the reins at St James’ Park, fans of the Magpies and others people’s imagination have been running wildly about all the high-profile signings they can make with their new-found wealth.
How the hell have they managed this so soon? pic.twitter.com/KHbJ1hIIK9

The list of names have been endless ranging from Virgil Van Dijk to Philippe Coutinho to James Tarkowski and it is likely the next few years are going to see some radical changes to Steve Bruce’s squad their first team squad.
Some signings are, however, at least a couple years away. before becoming a genuine reality.
One of those might just be Erling Haaland, who, according to AS, is on their wishlist.
The 21-year-old has been in exceptional form during his time at Borussia Dortmund, having scored 69 goals in 69 games and is one of the most sought-after players in the world.
The Norwegian is expected to leave the Bundesliga club next summer after his £66 million release clause activates in the process, and is likely to start a continent-wide bidding war.
For Newcastle though, that figure is seen as light change these days and they’d easily be able to pay it, they’d just probably have quite a job of persuading him to move to the North East.
It will be amazing to see who does actually come through the door at Newcastle in the years to come and whilst supporters can dream big, for now, Haaland has bigger ambitions than joining a Premier League relegation fight.
