Solskjaer has been under pressure in recent weeks but was given a lifeline after the win at Spurs
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that he enjoys criticism from those that feel he is not the right man for the Manchester United job.
The United boss has come under immense pressure in recent weeks, however was given a lifeline with a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend which ultimately sealed the fate of Nuno Espirito Santo.
Whilst his position still remains precarious, the Norwegian said that he won’t listen to the views of others and doesn’t want to argue with those that feel he is out of his depth.
Speaking on BBC he said: “Criticism can make you doubt yourself or you can stand up for yourself.
“I have always enjoyed criticism. Keep that coming. That’s fine.
“Journalists, pundits, experts, we all have different jobs. It is their job to give their opinion. I am not here to fight with them.”
And after leading his side to the win that was the final nail in the coffin for Nuno at Tottenham, Solskjaer admitted he had sympathy for the 47-year-old.
“It’s never nice to see men, good men, lose their jobs,” said the Norwegian.

“I don’t know what the situation has been or is at Tottenham so I can’t comment too much, but as a colleague you’re never happy when that happens – you try to get in touch with him and tell him your feelings.”
United turn their attention to Tuesday night’s game in the Champions League against Atalanta with the Red Devils are in a strong position following two back-to-back late winners in their last two European games against the Italian side and Villarreal.
A win in Bergamo would keep United top of Group E.
